Accuracy: CFPB Fines Debt Collector for Unlawful Credit Reporting Agencies

The debt collector was fined $50,000 after it incorrectly sent its account files to CRAs with incorrect payment details on debts, and it failed to report appropriate dates of first delinquency on accounts being placed for collection; it must implement accuracy policies in regards to the information it furnishes to CRAs, and provide sufficient resources to timely and appropriately respond to disputes.
